You may bet up to 5 plays on a play slip.
  3. Check the play slip for accuracy and present to a Lottery Retailer for processing. Important: It is the player's responsibility to check the tickets for accuracy prior to leaving the retail location.
  4. There are no cancellations allowed in New Hampshire Powerball®.
  5. Drawings are held Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
  6. If you make an error, DO NOT ERASE, instead mark the Void box for that play.
  7. Players who mark the POWER PLAY box pay an extra $1 for each and every play and/or additional draw, and those who win a prize, except the Jackpot or a Bonus prize, will receive an amount equal to the prize multiplied by the POWER PLAY number selected at a drawing conducted at the time of the regular POWERBALL® drawing.

You may purchase a ticket good for up to 20 draws by selecting a draw number under the "draws" column. Total ticket cost will depend on the number of panels and draws you play.

You may purchase a Powerball® ticket until 9:50 pm on the evening of the draw.

The winning numbers drawing will be broadcast on WZMY-Derry at approximately 10:59 pm every Wednesday and Saturday and the winning number results will be broadcast at approximately 11:15 pm on WMUR-9.

Every time a Powerball® ticket is purchased in New Hampshire, all profits remain in the state and are earmarked for education.

*The JACKPOT prize will be divided equally among multiple winners. The Grand Prize is paid as an annuity of 30 payments over 29 years or, as the election of the winner, in a single lump sum payment of the cash value of the annuity prize. If the winner chooses the annuity, the annual payments will be increased each year by a percentage set out in the Powerball® game rules. In unusual circumstances, the set prize amounts may be paid on a pari-mutuel basis which will be lower than the published amounts.

Match 5 Bonus Prize

Whenever the Powerball® jackpot reaches a record level, the amount of the jackpot prize is limited to increases for each draw of no more than $25 million. The prize money collected in excess of the maximum $25 million increase, will be placed into the Match 5 Bonus prize pool and will accumulate until there is a jackpot winner. When there is a jackpot winner, the Match 5 Bonus prize pool will be divided equally among all winners of the Match 5 prize. The prize will be paid in one cash lump sum.

The Match 5 Bonus prize is in addition to any Power Play prizes that may be won. The Match 5 Bonus prize is not multiplied. A Match 5 winner who also played the Power Play option will win the original $200,000, the amount paid under the Power Play multiplier option, and the new Match 5 Bonus effective bonus prize. Consider the following scenario: A player matches the five white numbers, another player hits the jackpot by matching all five white numbers plus the red Powerball, MUSL draws the Power Play number "4", and there is $385,000 available for each Match 5 winner as an additional Match 5 Bonus prize for the drawing. This player would then win $200,000 (the original Match 5 prize) + $600,000 (the extra monies created from the Power Play) + $385,000 (the actual Match 5 Bonus) for a total of $1,185,000. Put another way, the player has his $200,000 prize multiplied by 4, and then he also receives the additional $385,000 Match 5 Bonus prize.

Although it is unlikely, it is possible that no Match 5 winner will exist for a drawing where the jackpot is won and in where a Match 5 Bonus Prize pools exists. In this case, the Match 5 Bonus prize pool will be paid out to the Match 4+1 winners.

*If the MATCH 5 BONUS is in effect when the JACKPOT is hit, an additional prize amount will be added to the $200,000 prize for all tier two (match 5 white balls) winners. In the unlikely event that there are no tier two winners when the jackpot is hit, a bonus prize will be added to the $10,000 prize for all tier three (match 4 white balls and the Powerball®) winners. The rate at which the Jackpot grows after reaching a pre-determined level, and sales volume, will determine the amount of the Match Five Bonus Prize Pool.
